In the deserts of Halayeb, Shalateen, and Marsa Alam, south of the Red Sea, a tree called "Acacia" grows. It is one of the most famous trees that grow in the region.

The acacia tree, or acacia as it is called, is one of the perennial trees that grow in the floodplains of the eastern desert, as it forms an environment of a special nature.
- This tree was one of the sacred trees of the Pharaohs, and it was called the sacred tree of Isis, and Pharaonic drawings were made of it on the walls of one of the tombs.
- It is a source of protection and food for many living creatures in the desert, and uses it for food, and many living creatures feed on its leaves, including sheep, goats, and camels.
- The Pharaohs called it the sacred tree of Isis, and it was called "Shendt" and it was distorted until it was pronounced "Acacia".
